Vehicle Side Window Deflectors
Side window deflectors are an aftermarket exterior accessory helping keep the rain out, while letting fresh air in. The design of the side window deflector contours to the window. The design also allows for the windows to be cracked in the summer to reduce heat buildup in parked vehicles. While driving with the windows cracked the window deflectors reduce the wind noise for a quieter ride while allowing air to circulate in the vehicle. The window deflectors are custom fitted for each year, make and model of the vehicle being installed onto. Most side window deflectors are constructed out of an acrylic plastic resist to UV radiation and scratching.
Side window deflectors are available with different models. There is the standard version of the window deflector and the low profile in-channel window deflector. The standard window deflector is installed on the vehicle right about the window. The standard version is applied on by an exterior tape. The in-channel does not require any exterior tape. The in-channel window deflector is installed into the window channel and not on the exterior of the vehicle. The window deflectors are available in variety of different colors including chrome, light smoked and dark smoked. Some window deflectors are also available with colors to match the vehicle.
